08 Yukon Denali Xp Mirrors

I noticed that the 08 Yukon Denali XL has a courtesy light on bottom of mirrors. It does not ever seem to come on. I thought maybe unlocking would trigger it.. or the reverse mirror tilt (tilts mirrors down when selecting reverse, then back to normal when out of reverse). The manual does not mention them, the sales folks didn't even know they existed...

 

Any ideas?

Scroll thru the Driver Info Center ( DIC )

 

Go thru the menu options

 

Activate Exterior Courtesy Lamps using appropriate buttons.

 

Now they will work.

Thanks, but there is no selection for exterior courtesy lamps, maybe it is part of on of the menus but I went through each one carefully and did not see it.. But I did find that they come on when the vehicle is unlocked with the remote.
