Please help,

I need a GM supplier discount number quick, earlier this year I received anumber from a great guy at the hummer forum and purchased a H3, I was told that I can purchase a max of two cars from GM using the discount. Turns out I can, but need a 2nd number. I purchased the truck today and intended to pick it up tomorrow but the dealer called a little while ago and said my number was invalid. I need a number as soon as possible. Can anyone help?

email [email protected] or [email protected]

Thanks in advance

1 post asking for a supplier discount number. nice

Is that a problem?? I have been a member of the Corvette Action Center and Hummer Forum for a while and someone on the CAC forum gave me this listing and suggested I post here as well. Not sure why you felt compelled to make a sarcastic comment....

Supplier discount is ok (I get one), but you can definately beat it with a little negotiation.

I agree, I wouldn't waste my time with the supplier discount. I think it's the option for suckers.

While it MAY be possible to get a lower price that the "supplier discount" its not

done that often. The only cause would be "back end money" from the mfr.,

dealer going into holdback (lots of luck!), aged unit bonus cash, or the dealer

taking a loss trying to reach a unit sold bonus........................

Where you save money on a supplier deal is that you NO pay advertising fee

($500 plus) and your DOC fee is limited to $75 (some dealers wack you $1000)!

But strange things have been known to happen !

The post that I linked to is a place where you can ask someone for the discount.

When I bought my truck, I used my supplier, I got $3500 in rebates, and the dealer gave me another $4000 in sale certificates.

The deal you get completely depends on the dealer, but you can start with the supplier discount and then work your way down.

Then we need another post about "Sales Certificates" as I have never heard of them.

Please state what a "Sales Certificate" and how does one obtain them.

When GM starts a sale, (I bought my truck during the "Time to Buy" sale) they will give each dealer a certain amount of certificates to make deals with during those sales. Typically the sale lasts 2-4 days. I played 2 dealers against each other and one dealer gave me more money off than the other. The reason they did was that they got their money back from GM through these certificates. Both dealers told me they were doing certificates one was only giving 2 $1000 certs. the other was 4.

It IS possible. I got my truck $500 under GMS (plus got a set of free alloys valued at $200). I have never worked for GM or been a supplier. It all comes down to your negotiation skills. Most people suck, so they get a bad deal.

Yes, I visited that site. Then went to GM website to price out one following their link and found the 'supplier' discount for a similiar truck to mine. And my price was less than the 'supplier' discount. I visited that website and then followed the links to obtain the 'supplier' price.

I also have a Ford "X-PLAN" number. And a good negotiator can beat that and the X-Plan is below invoice. No, I did not purchase a Ford.

which I would choose the Denali cause it has the 6.2 and the 6 speed over both the Sierra and Silverado. All three trucks are loaded with 4x4 (AWD) and every option that is available to Texas (used Travis county for local offers). Are there major differences in prices in other areas of the country when it comes to 'supplier' pricing?
