Hids?

I've been searching, but can't seem to find if GM ever intends to offer some sort of HID or Xenon headlights for the Silverado or Sierra. I would really love a new Sierra, but after downgrading to a truck without HIDs, I really miss them. Anyone have any info? Thanks.

You have to do an aftermarket conversion. For some reason, GM cheaped out and is not going to offer HID on anything besides the Caddy's. I can buy a Kia for $10k and it will have projector HID's, but a $60k Sierra Denali doesn't even offer then as an OPTION!!!!! let alone standard!!!

I just put 12000K HIDs (bragging rights) in my truck and love em'. Got them for $88.00 shipped through ebay as a plug and play kit with a 1 year warranty. The parts seem very quality and at that price if a year is all they last thats cool with me. I ordered two kits one for me and one for my dad but his was short a few pieces so you need to make sure you got all of the parts before installing. And as a heads up the plug and play kits we got, don't fit the Yukon Denali

lol, yeah they are pretty purple, looks real nice when your stopped behind a white car or against snow. However they produce about the same amount of light as a standard halogen but its a very cold light about 2000 lumens I like driving with them they turn alot of heads too.

www.xenonking.com and www.xenondepot.com are a couple of sites that sell HID kits. I just ordered some for my truck after driving it and the Acadia (which has HIDs) back to back. I thought there were candles in my truck compared to the Acadia, the lighting was so poor.

That is just dumb. I'm sorry. 12000k is useless. It just makes your truck look like a teen racer with cheap purple coated halogen bulbs that they sell at Wal-Mart for $15.

I've got the 10k hid kit and it is a clear blue.......looks awsome and gives out way more light than stock. It also gets alot of attention.
