Pass-blinker Question

Hi All,

 

First post here. I just bought a new 07 Crew cab Z71 SLT classic model and the owners manual says that I have the pass option on the blinker. i.e.-- If you pull down on the blinker lever for 1 sec and release, then the blinker will automatically flash 3 times. If you have the tow mode activated it will flash 6 times. This is a great feature that most new cars have to signal quick lane changes but my truck doesnt do this. I have a feeling that because its a 07 classic, the 07 NBS info was misplaced here. Can someone please let me know if their classics do this. Thanks,

I have an NBS and can't speak for a classic. I haven't read about but am pleased to learn of the 6 blinks in tow/haul.

I used to have an 07 Silverado classic and it did not have that, but my nbs Sierra does.

I believe thats just a new body feature.

I appreciate all the responses. I sure wish more Classic owners would respond. My owners manual is for a 07 Classic Sierra 1500, just as it reads on the cover! I suspect I'm correct and that it is an error in ALL 07 classic manuals-- I just wish another member could confirm. I cant believe that I'm the only one in 11 months that has read the manual and discoverd this. Thanks.

Ok, cool, so I'm not going nuts. I've had my truck almost 6 months and didn't happen upon that feature until 2 weeks ago. I hit the turn signal for a second, let go, and it kept blinking. "Wha...!? Did it just...? Naah..!" A day or so later, I did it again and realized "Ok, it DID just do that... But why?" After a little experimenting, I figured out how to make it happen. I just didn't know the feature had a name. I guess maybe I should've read farther into the owners manual. After I used it for (very good) sedative / bed-time / knock ya out quick material for 2 or 3 nights, I gave up on trying to finishing it.

New Body Style

GMT900 is the new style plateform... 06 where 800's

none of the GMT 800 series trucks have it but all of the GMT 900 trucks should have it, that is according to GM TAC guy I spoke with, which means that 2007 Classic and below dont have it but all the NBS have it.
