Well here is the deck lid with spoiler I am getting.

It should look great in Blue Granite Metallic & finish my Silverado off with a slick

aerodynamic rear & side profile.

Now all I have to do is wait 6 weeks for my ordered NBS Silverado Crew Cab to come in.

What do you think? Popcorn2.gif

Looks good, actually. The middle light doesn't match well, but otherwise I kinda like it.

I was thinking the same thing,The cover looks great with the spoiler for sure, but the third brake light in it is going to look kinda' stupid with the factory third brake light on the roof.

I hate it when a car or truck has two third brake lights, just looks goofy

It is available with out the 3rd brake light, for safety I am going with the light.

To answer Tucson 02 silvera, yes the dealer said they install it with the black cap to cover the holes.

Also consider the aerodynamic benefits,

When wind hits the inner rear box door it acts like a speed break costing more in fuel.

The cover gets rid of that as air glides over it.

For contractor's it may not make sense to have a cover,

For me- I am only going to be hauling Marshall guitar amplifier cabinets, guitars & groceries.

when the stock tailgate cap is removed, does Gaylord provide a filler panel for the tailgate "holes" or are they left open and are just hidden when the cover is closed?

GMY900 trucks have HUGE holes under the plastic spoiler... not just the mounting holes. They are big ovals that run all the way across the top of the tailgate and are about 2-3 inches wide. I was shocked!

I'm with the others. The third brake light looks a little on the goofy side. There is no reason for it at all and it takes away from the smooth look of the cover. I'm sure the emblem can be ripped off as well. Most hard bed covers look tacky on the sides where they hang over. From your pic this one looks better. Might just look slick!

Just my opinion.

That looks sharp.

Thats half true. The truck is designed to get air to flow efficently with the tailgate up.

TRUE.

My bedcover did nothing for fuel economy. Not better, not worse. 50/50 city/hwy Still getting 16.2.

Actually a tonneau cover has little if any positive impact on fuel savings, and in some cases actually creates more drag resulting in a negative impact on fuel savings. Either way, it's minimal.

You can do a search on any search engine to find information on this subject:

Tonneau Cover

A tonneau cover isn’t just for looks or to protect cargo anymore. It’s a great way to save fuel, too. A well-fitted tonneau cover will save fuel because it improves the aerodynamics of your pickup truck. An uncovered pickup bed traps the air that rushes over the cab as you drive and creates turbulence that makes it impossible to save fuel. This turbulence in effect makes your truck heavier. A tonneau cover enables the air to flow over the bed without creating turbulence and is an instant way to save fuel.

Ok just ordered mine, and i got it without the third brake light and no logos.

Talk to Eric and you can order one without the Brake light.

That's the reason I got my tonneau. Carrying around music equipment in an open bed is just too nerve-racking for me. Not to mention, if you stop anywhere, people will be able to see a few grand of amps and instruments just sitting there for the taking.
