Sirius S50 In A Nbs Silverado?

Anyone have the Sirius S50 installed in there NBS Silverado? If so please share how you did your install and where you mounted it and maybe some pics of your install. Thanks guys!

 

Also can I just plug it in to the Aux connect instead of taking the whole dash apart and hard wiring?

Don't waste your money.

 

YOu are far better off with an add-on sirius Starmate 4 or something along those lines.

 

I tried the S50 and hated it. Reception was terrible, and could only program 12 channels, the display did not work well on the radio either. It only showed a few characters of the artist / song.

 

I returned it and got a Starmate 4 and have been much more happy. Do a clean install and it will look factory.

I've had the S50 for over 2 years now and love it. Just bought an 07' Sierra. Installed an after market bracket in the open space just under the air vent to the right of the radio. Ran the antenna wire into the console underneith the radio, through the glove box and then back underneith the entire dash, under the steering wheel and then up into the fuse box area. Then under the door molding, up to the outer molding.. then to the rear of the cab to the roof. It looks great! and works great! I'll see about getting some pictures posted soon..

Here is my install. I wanted the Stilleto closure to my hands so that I wouldn't have to reach. Plus my computer was in the way.
