'06 Silverado Bose Subwoofer...

For those of you who have actually seen the amp to the subwoofer in the console, is there a trim pot to adjust the subwoofer output (volume) or is it strictly controlled by software? I've seen on this forum that some have hacked the software in the Bose radio and the subwoofer in the '06 Silverado isn't all that bad if you increase its output.

Thanks for any info.

honestly wouldnt waste ur time.. just get an aftermarket sub(s) and amp(s)... bose makes some quality stuff... but the stuff that comes in our trucks, is deff not quality... at all...ditch it! plus i think its only like an 8'' sub anyways... i mean if your looking for base ur not gonna get it from a paper 8'' sub...

Hopefully somebody will chime in on this because I'd like to know as well. I don't want to re-do everything and I actually love the Bose mids/highs, I just want something to do the lows a little better than the factory sub does. Don't want to shake the road or anything outside my truck. Strictly for me in the inside.

There is no adjustment for the sub

You can put in another sub, you may have to make a mount.

The Bose sub is a dual voice coil (meaning both left and right channel are connected)
