04 1500 Lb Rating?

hey guys kinda like the title says... i was just wondering what the official specs were on the weight capacity of this truck:? its an 04 1500 Z71..

 

what can she carry in the bed? and what can she pull?

 

i have a buddy that wants me to pull a trailer for him next week and its an enclosed one so i'm just wondering roughly what i'm looking at!

That truck should have the 5.3 V8 and 3.73 gears as standard equipment. If you have the factory tow package, the towing capacity is at least 7k lbs, depending on the model, i.e. regular cab, extended cab, or crew cab. The loading capacity should be around 1500 lbs. The easiest way to determine the loading capacity is to look up the curb weight and the gross vehicle weight. The latter should be listed on the door jamb sticker.

On the 2004 K1500 Payload Lb 1474 & Max trailer weight is 5000LB if you have Z85 & Z82 its up to 8400LB. The source is GM.
