Old Question New Twist Keyless Programming

Hello,

I know that these questions have been asked a thousand times, but mine seems to be a little different. I have a 1998 GMC Sierra with remote keyless entry. When I purchased the vehicle it came with one key fob.(#16245100-29). It worked great. I orderd another one off Ebay,(the exact same number) and followed the directions to the "t", but only one fob will program. Both fobs will program and work, but only one at a time. The directions state that you have 60 seconds between programming each fob or the program will shutdown. I have retried over a dozen times and still only one will take. Supposedly you can use up to four remotes at once, but I cannot get but 1 programmed.

 

Is there anything I can reset, pull a fuse, or similiar task that might fix this problem?

 

My local GM dealer said they had no idea what to do.
