04 Z71 Bose Stereo

I am having problems with my radio in my truck. The sound use to come and go out of the speakers,but now I get no sound. Everything else works radio,cd,sat but no sound out of speakers. Has anyone ever had this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks Jonathan

This happened to my truck over the weekend! When I got home everything was fine, then, next mornign NO SOUND!! Radio worked but no sound not even the door chimes, OnStar, phone nothing! So I had to go somewhere and after on of my stpos when I got back in the Truck, everything was back to normal! Not sure what was it but I do not want it to happen again, did you receive any help on this?

This exact thing happened to me today...all the same symptoms, and Wow was I irritated...I swear by GM. However after researching this and finding this forum I went back out to my truck turned my key over and....everything was back to normal. I have steering wheel radio controls as well and maybe once every 3 months I will press a control and my radio will flash and the clock will reset but this is the first time without sound. Maybe it has to do with the way the controls are wired through the steering column losing contact briefly after a few years of use. I do not know if it ever happens with the dash controls as I never use them. I (embarassingly) used to own a "rice burner" and there were certain places on the steering connection that my horn would not blow due to the contacts between the steering wheel wiring and the column wiring losing connectivity.
