My truck is supposedly built for the 2000 SEMA Show. I would just like some info on what all is done to it. It is under the Tremor Package. Here is a link to it. http://www.pickuptruck.com/html/autoshows/sema2000/gmc/customized/sierras.html I know it is supercharged, headers, exhaust, Brimbo brakes, sports suspension, and a few other mods. But what I don't know is if there was any tranny work. Or inside engine work. Also there is a sparkplug welded in the exhaust right before the Cat. What is that about. I bought it off Ebay about a year ago. It is claim to have 600hp. I am guessing that is a the flywheel. If anyone has any information for me I would appreciate it.

Spark plug before the Cat? That's weird? Maybe using it to ignite something in the pipe. But why would it be before the cat???

Not sure man. Nothing comes up through Google. So your guess is as good as mine...

Anybody can build a truck for SEMA. Many companies do just that to showcase their work. The manufacturer doesn't build them. The only exceptions I have seen to this rule are the "Show Vehicles" but they are in house design works and not sold to the public.

There is no way to know what was done to it... (short of finding out what company did yours and asking them)

The "Spark Plug" before the cat is the O2 sensor.

Nope not the o2 sensor. This is a spark plug welded just after the O2 sensor and just before the cat.

I've seen this after the cats to ignite the unburned fuel in the exhaust so flames shoot out the exhaust. I can't imagine why it would be in front of the cat. What is this "spark plug" wired to???

It is not hooked to anything. I will try to post a pic this weekend.

I figured out what the extra, unhooked spark plug before the cat is. It's there to plug the hole the previous owner put in the exhaust for a wideband o2 sensor. The wideband is used during tuning (dyno or road tuning) but wideband sensors are not cheap so they put a cheap spark plug in the hole when they were done to plug it.

Do a vehicle title search, find out who owned it during the 2000 SEMA time-frame. Maybe you could contact them to see if they might still have copies of the build documentation. Usually if there is paper/photos of the build, it follows the truck, it increases the value.

Where would I do a search? I have googled my butt off and can't really come up with anything. I did a CARFAX and of course that didn't help much either. I sure would like to have build documentation, not so much for value but for my personel knowledge.
