Bose System

I was driving home today from work and tragically I had no tunes. My truck had been sitting at work for about 12hrs. When I fired it up, there was no sound from the speakers. The radio was clearly getting power. I tried a CD, turning on/off the stereo...nothing. I checked the amplifier and radio fuses when I got home which looked good. After the truck sat a while. I tried the stereo again and it worked. This seems strange. I searched the forum for this issue without success.

Has anyone had this issue.

I am having this exact issue right now but I am getting no sound. There is a slight popping sound every once in a while from the speakers, sounds like a static discharge or something like that but it is a very faint pop. Fuses all look great, no doorbells, onstar or anything that comes out the speakers. I was on an 8 hr road trip and stereo worked fine until I started the truck the next day. 2004 Yukon XL

Sounds like a short, if a speaker is blown, it will short out so as not to fry the system so to speak.

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 or 20 minutes. I read about this same problem on the Cadillac forum. Disconnecting the battery worked a large percentage of the time.
