Is there any cheap way to haul more with less sag? Right now i only have about 250 Pounds in the back of my truck and it has sagged down about 2 inches. I know that super springs are about $215, dont want to do that. Im look for a set of cheap, Lift or/ Load Springs.

if anybody can find some failry cheap or have any other ideas to reduce this sag please let me know.

If nobody has any suggestions i was thinking just some Rough Country 2" Lift Blocks

I had a '90 like your and at about 150K the springs were shot, you could throw 150lbs back there and it would sag. Like you I did not want to go with air bags, etc. I found a newer truck in a junk yard and got the rear springs out of it for $50. There are several model years that will fit yours. I suspect that is what you have going on with only 250lbs dropping it that much. See if you can find some OEM used springs. A ton of guys take them out to install lift kits, and they are just laying around.

they are $18 at Advance Auto and it is for the set (leaf helpers). I installed them and they have really reduced the sagging.......

Or just get a skinnier girlfriend. :sigh:

Ouch. :D

A few years back I bought an add-a-leaf kit for $75 for my 1500. Installed it with the help of a friend. Definitely was a cheap solution to the embarrasingly soft stock rear springs. Also, I got 2" of lift for the back, too.

do you remember what brand the kit was? im looking to spend less than $75 so i can throw some more salt in for the winter without it looking like crap.

Nope parents sold our tickets :D. Made too much money to sit in - Degree Weather. its great haveing season tickets

What about this?

i know the more leafs you add the more you can haul but when it says it can haul more how much? if it can only haul like 100 pounds more it wont be worth it but the extra 2" lift wouldnt hurt either. IDK tell me what you think of those

I don't remember the make anymore -- it was one of the major suspension companies, i.e. Rugged Trail, Skyjacker.

I'd bet you could haul 400-500 pounds more before the back sagged as much as the stock stance. But, this depends probably on how old/worn your springs are now.

i will probably getting them lift springs then.

Do you think my truck would look good if it sat 2" higher in the back? i cant find any with just stock height

Wouldnt be any more work to do that, but it will cost you a bit more. Mechanics where I work seasonally had to do that with a 2000 chev 1/2 ton and it only took em half a day, which is pretty fast for government work. Just dont go crazy overloading after. We had a full 100 gallon slip tank, 150 gallon water tank, and various tools and parts on it and split both back rims in a period of 3 weeks.

I bought these and havn't put them in yet cause its so F*KN cold here (-40c) but they have quite the curve on them, and are supposed to lift 2". I have 2" coil spacers in the front so that will level me out, but if you front suspecnsion is stock I would imagine you'll get quite the rake..

well i have a parts truck, exactly the same as mine pretty much, so i think i am just going to add a leaf, or if i need 2 more leafs a side. but i wont for a long time it will go good for next winter lol. it wayyyy to friggen cold here.
