Anyone know how to get rid of power steering pump whine short of replacing ?

You could try spanking and depriving it of its Nintendo.

 

Radio volume is the only cheap solution I've ever found.

what he said. i tell people that at my dealer but those caddy and hummer owners dont think its funny for some reason hehe

Tried purging the system and replacing the fluid with high quality synthetic? I used Redline in my Explorer (company vehicle) and it did away with about 50% of the Ford PS whine. It didn't go away but it is much better.

Synthetic fluid may help...

Although I changed to valvoline synthetic and the whine is still there, maybe just a tad quieter.
