Vss Wire 2005 Gmc 2500 Hd Diesel

I see that I am not the only one with this VSS problem. I bought a TNR800 Navigation system for my truck, Plug and play no problem! but driving around the vehicle indicator is a bit jumpy, it lags behind. So I don' t have the VSS hooked up. On the internet I got some installation instructions and they were great, I see some of you guys have posted links to these instructions http://ppd.delphi.com/pdf/consumer/tnr800_install_guide.pdf . On page 16 it shows how to connect to this VSS wire in the 12 pin connector. The VSS should be in A4 right? I have checked and double checked but A4 is empty, no wire. Postion E on the other harness has no wire either, So where do I look now to find this VSS wire?

I have the UQ7 option, On Star, and Non lux BOSE.

I have noticed since buying my truck that the auto volume dosen't work. I have the Auto Vol set to Max (Old radio before the Nav). I would guess that this is controled by the VSS wire. I assume it would turn the volume up when the VSS is telling the radio that it is travelling highway speed ect. When I noticed I could not find the VSS in the harness A4 position thats when the lightbulb went on (No VSS, No auto Volume, no good for Navigation). I am at a stand still until I can find an alternate location for a VSS wire. Any help would be great.

Just to make sure you are aware that the A4 that you are looking for is at the instrument cluster connection right.

Yeah I talked to some guys that install Remote Starters yesterday and they said I could find the VSS behind the instrument cluster just like you said. Same wire, green with a white tracer. Thanks for the help.
