Has anyone used westers to tune their 07-08 NBS silverado??? if so what are your thoughts.

thanks

Are you in Canada? Wester's is and I have heard the back and forth shipping can be a PITA for customers in the US. Other than that, I have heard all good things about Butch.

Since Butch is in the US, why would the back & forth shipping be a pain for US customers?

VMAXNY : While I do not have a Westers Tune in my truck, I have heard nothing but good things about Butch and Westers Tunes.

I use Wester's. I currently have a Wester's tune in my NBS 07 Silverado. I had a Wester's tune in my 03 SD. I didn't pay any more for my tune when I went from the 03 to the 07. Lyndon Wester has a policy that when you trade in your old vehicle, you should get a stock tune from him to replace his custom tune, and then you get the credit for your new tune. The price I paid originally for my 03 was equal to or greater than the price for the 07.

Wester's charges around $45 for UPS shipping to me, and I pay something like $25 USPS shipping the core back to him. I have used Butch for getting upgrades for my tune in the 03 SD, but use Lyndon more because he is who I ordered my original tune from. I think the cost to/from Butch was like $25 each way.

Butch hasn't been doing any mail-order tunes for the GMT900 trucks because of a security issue with the VINs and the cores. The issue is basically a core becomes married to the VIN and unusable to any other vehicle. GM may have resolved this now. Lyndon got some brand new cores and sent me my tune. I sent him my oem core back. Lyndon may have a bunch of paperweights lying around until GM posts how to override the VINs.

I highly recommend Wester's tunes. I have no complaints with the tunes I have received. Both Lyndon and Butch and knowledgable and can create your tune that will give you everything you want.
