Hay i just found this topic so i figured since i'm still a newbie i'd stop and say hi. I have posted a couple of things already and have found this sight to be extrealy helpful!!

Welcome, I am from CT and moving out to WI in may for work. Going to be living in Mauston. Anything good to do out that way?

there is lots of good stuff to do out near mauston. There is really good fishing on the petenwell flowage. Hunting is good out that way too. There is some good 4 wheelin to, if you go north twards the UP (upper peninsula of michigan) there is the "pipline" and there is some DEEP holes and some really fun trails. Dont get me wrong the is some really fun trails around Ft. McCoy also which you will be close to, just watch it it is an artillery post so there is rounds that pass over roads. I used to be there quite often ( i was in the wisconsin army national gaurd). Well if you have more questions just PM me.
