Signal Left Both Arrows Blink On Dash

This is an intermittent problem that just started on my '03 Yukon XL. Opinions please.... Flasher, Dash Lights? Signal Arm? Hazard lights flash when signalling right and signalling left. I posted this previously in HD Trucks, but I have a Yukon - so here it is.

I've seen a Jeep Cherokee which had both signals flash (inside and out) when the turn signal lever was activated, and just the other day I saw a newer 4-runner do the same thing, very funny to see.

Check all your signal bulbs if you hav'nt already, when one goes out sometimes if does weird things like that at the dash to tell you whats up.

I had a 95 Caprice that did something very similar. The problem? It was the wiring for the trailer lights, had a break in the insulation and was corroded very badly. Cleaned up the wires and taped the breaks, good as new.

 

It may be a long shot, but it's possible!

Sounds like a bad ground. As Rob suggested, I'd check for corroded wires as well. Those can be tricky to find sometimes though. Good luck!
