IceBeNot Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I was wondering if you guys can help me out with a purchase I want to make. I been eyeing the Gibson Split Rear Exhaust systems lately for my 4.8 v8 2007 Sierra SLE regular cab shortbed (new body style). But I am having trouble trying to figure out which model is the correct one for my truck. I am going through a list and the only one that seems to be the correct model would be this... Model # 65634 "07 & up GMC Sierra Regular Cab Gasoline 4.8 Liter 5.3 Liter Standard/Short Bed - 78.7" 1500 New Body Style Active Fuel Management" But, I don't think I have "active fuel management". I can't seem to find it in my manual anywhere. How do I find out? I would appreicate it if anyone can help me out.
daivdo Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 I don't think the 4.8l has active fuel management.

jcgilpin Posted February 8, 2008 Posted February 8, 2008 Heard good things from a magnaflow setup, yeah the Gibsons seem to create some bad drone.

Corsa is just too expensive. I've been running a Gibson system on my 02 since I bought it and I've had no problems w/ it whatsoever. Even if it does rust out it's warrantied for life if I'm not mistaken and I also like the low tone it produces.
