Considering Borla #140014 Cat-back System

Hi, My girlfriend says my flowmaster dual exhaust on my '03 Silverado Z71 (Extend Cab, Short-Bed, 4.8L, Auto, 4WD) is too loud. I had a dual-outlet flowmaster with both tips exiting out the back at the rear bumper installed in 2003 and the resonation is pretty loud (for her ears). Mostly, she doesn't like it when I start the truck and leave late at night (even if I motor away slowly). Also, she isn't crazy about the rezonation and sound at speed (and when I mash the pedal).

Ever since I first bought the truck, I had a yen for the stainless systems but the dual systems are over $800. I've been considering stainless exhaust options and the Borla, single outlet exhaust that exits behind the right rear wheel has me interested. It also has a good price under $500 at Jegs (I know there is an added charge for oversize).

Should I expect the Borla system to resonate less and be a bit quieter overall than my existing Flowmaster setup?

I have heard really good things about Borla. Just based on the fact that Flowmasters are supposed to have some of the worst resonation on the market I would say the Borla would be better.

Borla will sound good, but once it's broken in, it sounds rather similar to the Magnaflow. So either one would work, I'd just go with which ever one you can get cheaper. And if you have a custom exhaust shop just go with the muffler, it'll likely be a whole lot cheaper too.
