Stupid Questions

Posted this twice, as I wasn't sure where to post.

Okay. I consulted my Chilton's for the EGR location on my 2002 Yukon 5.3L GAS engine. It shows on their diagram that it should be located forward of the oil filler neck, so I look....not there. I looked around for a line running to the manifold, and the only one I could find was on the rear driver side from the Intake. The stupid question is: Where is it? lol

Was also looking for the PCV on this engine, Master Chilton says driver side rear manifold. I see something in the rear, but I figure I'd ask about this too since I'm already asking a stupid question, and before I start pulling on important things. Second stupid question: Where is it?

Thanks for any input!

there should be a tube from the passenger side exhaust manifold that runs up to the egr valve, just off of the oil filler neck. also there is a electrical harness that is plugged into the top.

The EGR valve looks like a small canister and should be exactly where your Chiltons says it is.

what they say, but not all have them. pcv will be a tube runnin into the very back drivers valve cover, maybe 3/4" dia tube, pulls right out

Thanks for the replies, guys. I found the PCV, but that EGR is baffling me. I took the above pictures of the area on my engine where Chilton's said it was. Tell me I'm not crazy/blind. They're big so I just made links for them. According to Chilton's it should be RIGHT in front of that oil filler neck, and looks exactly like the Ebay pic Hummer posted. :chevy:

you dont have an egr

Whaaaa? Okay, so I'm not crazy. I didn't know that some trucks don't have an EGR. I thought it was pretty much necessary. Oh well....thanks guys!

I was looking for my egr too, and couldn't find it. I see what looks like one next to the brake fluid reservoir... Maybe someone can clear this up for me, what is that next to the brake reservoir?
