Wheel Size Question

Howdy! I have 2002 Yukon, and I was thinking of installing this lift kit for a little more clearance from Pro Comp. http://www.4wheelparts.com/PDT1637.aspx I chose this one because it doesn't replace the knuckles, keeping the rack width the same so there's no 3" front tire kick out. I was thinking of going with a 305/70/17 tire.

 

The question is what is the max width (in everyone's experience) I can go on a 17" rim with ^ that tire size without have the tread sticking out of the vehicle body. I can't have any tread sticking out for legal purposes.

 

Anybody have an existing size, or know of the configuration which would accomplish this?
