2005 Silverado Hvac/ Acuator Problem?

Hello, everyone. The air flow will stick, on occasion, in one position and not allow me to change air flow positions. If I have it set at defrost, then change to "vents" it stays on defrost. I don't hear any noise or ticking. If I turn the truck off for just a few seconds, then restart the vehicle, it WILL now change!! The dealer is telling me the HVAC "actuator" needs replacing. Has anyone had the similar issuse? Is it a difficult repair? Thank you, in advance, for any comments and suggestions!!

I've got an 07 Classic. Same thing. I'd be driving with heater blowing on face and feet, and all of a sudden, you'd hear it switch and start blowing out of defroster vent. It would not cycle back on it's own, but once shut off, and re-started, it would function correctly. Till the next time. Dealer changed the actuator, and all is well so far.
