Piaa Nnbs Fog Light Brackets

OK, the PIAA fog light kit came in today. Not a whole lot there... two brackets and two nuts & bolts. I guess the $50 is worth the potential convenience.

It pretty much looks like it will mount any light with a bottom bolt mount, not just a PIAA light. Below are pics of the bracket just sitting in place. This is the left side fog light. The left side of the bracket bolts to the bumper bolt. The right side of the bracket would use a nut and bolt going through the hole where one of the factory fog light adjusters would be. The light would mount to the hole in the middle of the bracket. The instructions state that about one inch of material would need to be removed from the factory housing area, but it does not show exactly where. I guess I will figure that out when I take everything out and try to fit the lights in. To be continued...

No lights yet, but if I do get PIAA lights they will be the 510's as I only have a 4" opening. I did not want to buy any lights until I see what the brackets are and if they would hold something other than a PIAA. I have never been a big PIAA fan (way overpriced in my opinion) so if there is a better option I will take it. Now that I have the brackets and it looks like they are actually pretty generic I can find some lights.

If I were you I'd go with the PIAA lights. I have a PIAA P-9000 fog lamps on my other truck and they are BRIGHT! and white. Deffinatley worth $300.00 and i'm pretty sure PIAA has a lifetime warranty.

I had Hella's on two previous vehicles and they were awesome. Very bright, well focused beam, held adjustment, etc. I had PIAA's on my H2, they were more money, and did not compare to the Hella's, IMHO. So I dumped them and went with the Warn's I am selling elsewhere in the forum. I wil probably end up with the PIAA'a anyway, with Philips HID's in them to match my other lights.

I know you probably explained this elsewhere and I missed it (that tends to happen), but why are you not putting the HIDs in the stock fog light housings?

I was looking for something with a wider beam angle than the stock lights.
