Rear Drum Brake Adjustment?

Many moons ago, in the era of drum brakes galore, if you drove in reverse for a bit, then stopped the truck, it would adjust the rear drum brakes.

 

Is this still the case with the NBS trucks?

 

(Sorry, not an expert on brakes.....) Don't know why I just thought of this, but ?????
