Left Turn Squeal

Recommended Posts

I have an 03 Sierra. It is making a high squealing sound in the steering when making any sort of a left turn usually at higher speeds. (really notice it on winding roads.) Just curious if anyone has found the cause of this, and what I need to fix it.

THANKS!!

is blinker fluid one of the above?

its probably the wheel bearing. when it sounds, is the steering wheel turned all the way left? If so thats your power steering pump.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the ideas. Its actually been a while since I posted this originally so I have noticed another thing. It only makes the noise when the truck has warmed up. I can take the same turns when the truck has been started in the morning and no squeal! Also seems to only make it at higher speeds (25- up).

sonjaab it is a 2003 GMC 1500. 4.8l, 2wd, I cant remember exactly what size tire but they are a little bigger than factory. (Will get that info later)

Thanks!!!!
