I found a Mcgaughys 3/5 for $915 shipped. Is this and good price and is this a good kit? Its springs spindles and hangers and leafs. I wont ever be towing much, hell I hardly even drive the truck. Its for my 08 scsb. Let me know what you think.

If you are not towing, go for it.

It would look good... Ride will be a little on the crappy side. You can always add some airbags to the rear end if you decide to load or tow.

Complete Drop Kit

This gets you 4" lower in the front and 6" in the back for alot cheaper.

So which should I do flip or replace the leafs? I want it to ride as nice as possible.

Doing a rear flip should make your truck ride the same, your still utilizing the factory leaf springs you just moving the axle from under the leaf springs to over the leaf springs with the kit. it's all about axle placement. back when I had my 2000 S-10 I used a 2" spindle with a 3" spring along with a 4" block in the rear to slam the truck. I was happy with the way it turned out, here is a picture of my "Blue Devil" after loads of cash and time were invested.

when i ordered my kit, (i got 2/4, back was a flip kit) and the place i got it from had called me, because i originally odered the kit with leafs, and when they called, they had said to get the flip kit, because shipping 2, 90 pound leaf springs can get expensive.... either kit will work nicely, replacing the leafs would be alot less work, because shackles are a biotch to change, but like i said, if you shipping, its gonna cost you.

You have to remove the fuel tank to get the shackle bolts out on the one side. that is why the replacing the shackles is such a pain in the ars.

On the McGaughy's 2/4 with a flip kit. You don't replace the front hanger, you replace the rear hanger and keep stock shackles.

I have a 2/4 with a flip personally and it rides nice. I need to lower the front a little bit more though. I just purchased some belltech struts that allow you to keep it stock or lower 1 or 2 inches, which is cool.

In the beginning I had some issues with pinon angles and vibration, but I have finally ironed out all those issues. Also, don't forget to remove the little washers on the rear brake drums on NNBS setup. That will make your ride vibrate a lot. There is one washer on each side...they are small and hard to see so make sure they are both off period.
