I had sticker shock yesterday when I bought tune up parts for my 97 GMC K2500 with 5.7. $ 162.95. I never replaced this style Distributor cap before any tips i need to know? This thing only has 56K for miles and runs great. I thought it might be a good idea to get those spark plugs out before they seize. Thanks for any reply's

What the heck did you buy? I don't think I have spent that much on my truck since the $250 fuel pump episode...

[/quot Plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor and and a small packet of anti seize. Purchased all at a local Napa store. The wires are 73 bucks.

Just don't drop the screws. It's actually rather simple and goof proof. Hard to screw up the firing order with these caps.
