Hi guys I am new to the forum and thinking about purchasing a 1999 GMC Z 71 Truck the guy wants 8500 for it eith 112000 miles on overall good cond does this sound like a decent deal

Yea that was dumb of me. Ext cab leather interior, hard tonneau cover, 4X4 5.3 engine also what to look for before purchasing. he won't move on the price what do you think

id say $6K-$6500, the price sounds a little high to me for that mileage

Also, trucks in PA sell for way more then they might around you.

Cars = worth nothing

4x4 Trucks/SUVs = Arm & Leg

2WD Trucks = Good luck getting rid of it

I have been pricing them here in Pa and that does not sound like a bad price to me

I paid 9700 for mine in close to mint condition with 94000 on it, and a 1 year warranty. 8500 seems right about right, and it should be good private party, but Im not sure what all it has in options. All in PA, NY, and surrounding trucks go for top dollar, and I would go for it for 8500 as long as everything is sound. Normal issues with these trucks are rough 1-2 shifts at low rpm, rear noise when starting out, piston slap, and steering clunks. They dont affect the longevity of anything, its just what they do.

I traded in my 2000 GMC Sierra SLE Ext Cab Z71 5.3, 3.73's, 3 door, black, MINT cond, 90K miles for $11,500 My brother ended up with it after buying it from the dealer as a "Dealer pass through". He paid $11,500 for it and had to pay a $300 admin. fee.

 

If it's in mint conditon, that is a great price. Have a mechanic check it out too.

The guy that owns it runs a diesal garage and just bought a diesal that is why he is selling it. Seems to be pretty loaded with leather and such. The only thing he said it needs is tires

So, you'll be the 3rd owner. Does he have service records or anything? Tell him to put the tires of your choice on it, and he's got a deal, ha!ha!
