Sanden A/c Compressor

Can someone tell me if they have any idea what the track record of new Sanden a/c compressors is ? I have to put a new one on 99 chevy C2500 . My sister has a new one. If I put it on will I be changing it in two weeks . Thanks for any input .

They were OEM on a lot of vehicles and seemed to hold up well. That's all I know.

Mike, Sanden is one of our AC Compressor suppliers along with Visteon, Delphi and Denso. Sanden is an OE supplier on many applications and the quality is great along with our other OE suppliers. However, my application listing on a 99 2500 shows your truck came from the factory with a Delphi unit. This does not mean you cannot use a Sanden, it just means your truck was not Sanden equiped from the OEM.

 

The key to any A/C job is a good flush along with a new receiver drier and orfice if applicable. Don't take any shortcuts and you will be fine.
