I finally closed on the house today. No, there weren't any problems or delays in GETTING it closed... It just seemed to take forever for things to finally come together and GET it closed.

 

More pictures to come, but here's one of the truck, in front of the house... This was taken a few weeks back, at the inspection. But, it still shows both off a little. :)

 

It's my first home and not huuuuge and ultra-nice like some. But, it's mine and I am SOOOO looking forward to being THERE and not HERE (small, 1 bedroom apartment)! :sigh:

That's a fine looking home. Home ownership is great. I busted my ass off, and paid mine off in 10 yrs. :)

Thank you! Thaqk all of you! I'm relaly looking forward to it. This is my frist home. So, I know there are tons of things I'll need to get.. But, it should be a fun and interesting experience. I am SO looking forward to NOT being in apartments anymore! :)

Congrats man! This first week in my new house is awesome, even though I am a bad home owner and totally forgot to take out the trash when it was full. But I am new at this so cut me some slack!

 

When you moving in?

If the movers show up when they're supposed to, Friday morning. If not...... We'll see. One of the last times I hired movers, it took them 3 days to finally show up. They kept rescheduling and rescheduling and rescheduling. By the time they showed-up, I had already moved most of the boxes myself! I sincerely hope that is not the case this go-around!

 

You forgot to take out the trash when it was full..!? You have trash cans..!?!?!? Is that something I should look into getting!?!? :)

Thats a great looking house man. The awesome Sierra Denali parked in the driveway helps though. :) And congrats!

Nice house and all, but here's the important question:

 

Does the truck fit in the garage?

Yes, it does! Believe it or not, that was the #1 thing on my list of "if it doesn't have this, forget it" list. I was able to pull the truck in and still have a good 3-4 ft to spare. MOST garages (at least in new houses), around here, have 18, 19, or maybe 20 ft garages. I found a FEW 2-stories that had 21 ft garages. But, I didn't want a 2-story house.

 

This one had everything I wanted... A good sized garage, decent size yard, landscaped yard, fireplace, storage building out back, covered patio... everything I was looking for and more (even a hot tub!). I couldn't pass it up.

Its worth looking into unless you have a trash dump place within minutes of you or a dumpster that you can put your trash into at work...

I have a trash dump 15 minutes away and I wasnt going to consider it cause my parents pay $75 every three months. Which doesnt sound like a lot but it adds up. So I thought that I would do a search for other trash companies in my area and I got a 95 gal trash can for $54 every 3 months...

 

So I am glad that I did that and will be convenient for me when I remember to roll the trash out to the street. haha

It looks like they do curb-side pickup for trash & recycling for about $11 / month. That's not too bad, I guess.. Like you said, though, I'll just have to remember which days to drag the stuff out to the curb.

That's pretty close to what I pay. I think mine is $36 every 3 months, and that includes one of those 55 gallon trash cans.

Darkanion, Thats awesome man. Congrats on the new pad! Looks awesome especially with the truck infront of it. If I had that house & that truck I would have it parked in the driveway all day & only bring it in at night :shakehead:
