Need Help With Lift Kit

I am debating on buying a Rough Country 6 inch lift for my 96' z71, i was just wanting to know if anybody know anything about them or anything i should know about them. If anyone could tell me any cons or pros i would really appreciate it.

I installed their 3" suspension kit on my 2008 Sierra and it didn't fit worth a F*CK and caused a ground out sound from the differential hitting the crossmember. Their customer service sucks also, they told me to either take it off for a refund or they could send me new parts to hopefully take care of the problem. I removed their JUNK parts and installed a HIGH QUALITY BDS 6" SUSPENSION LIFT.

The Rough Country kits are cheap in price but they are also cheap in quality compared to BDS. I'm not saying BDS is the only kit worth buying but in my mind they are the best in quality and customer service!!!

ha still love the BDS eh? Did you get the pm I sent you? What are you getting for mpg? Another thing you have to worry about is gas mileage. Take what ever you are getting now and expect half.

actually I have only noticed about a 1-2 mpg loss. Yes I still love my BDS!!! even if I had not had the problems with the Rough Country kit I would still say BDS quality is better from looking at both kits. Their welds are better looking and more complete and the powdercoating is better, the RC kit had alot of spots that were not coated when I got them. oh and did I mention their customer service sucks, I called BDS with my block issue and they swapped my 4" blocks for 5" blocks and ate the cost of shipping both ways. This is just my two cents but I know I'm not the only one who has had problems with RC according to other forums I visit.

Well the sticker says stock I should be getting 24mpg and right now its about 12. But I have less than 500km on the truck so hopefully it will improve. :(

Well do you guys have any other suggestions that will get me a good quality lift for pretty decent price?

Have you looked at Fabtech or Pro Comp?
