2008 Silverado 5.3l Remote Filter

I plan on installing an engine oil cooler and remote filter, I would like to use the Canton 90 degree rotating billet remote filter adapter part number 22-598 http://www.livermoreperformance.com/canton...ers.html#remote. Has anyone used this adapter on the 07-08 Silverado 5.3L engine? It has the M22x1.5 thread which is what the filter has so I know that part will mesh and the O-ring is the correct size. The only thing I am worried about is the clearance from the edge of the adapter to the oil pan, there isn't much room there. If anyone has tried this adapter on this engine, please chime in and post if it worked for you or not. Thanks in advance.
