There is a ton of info on this not only on this forum but also on the internet, Basically what you need is the steering wheel with the buttons and a new clock spring. I believe you need the single stage clock spring for the 2500. I don't have the part number here but I have it at home.

When these are installed you will have to get the BCM programed by the Dealer. Not a small task. Some dealers won't even know what you are talking about. They don't get this request very often. Most of the time they have to get the codes from the tech line. I hear GM is charging for this now. Any way good luck. It has been done successfully many times.

Hey guys,

thanks for the info and link. I actually found a 13+ page thread on this subject and narrowed the parts that I need to:

Steering wheel with buttons

Clockspring with single stage airbag hook up (one yellow pigtail)

and some patients with the dealer.

I went to the salvages yard today and saw no new model trucks at all surprisingly. I just posted my request on a salvage yard online site that will broadcast it to many yards. We'll see what that will bring. Nothing worth touching on ebay or craigslist yet.

Will adding this also enable tire pressure readout on the dic? I noticed there is a wire to my front hubs ( not sure where exactly it ends) but was wondering if this is a pressure wire (no, i'm not looking at the hydraulic line).

Sorry for not finding the informative post first. Guess I was too anxious to get the added features. I LOVE MY TRUCK!!!

THANKS!!!

more than likely that feature as well as any other features would have to be turned on by a Tech 2 at the local dealership (good luck on that one)..

in addition, if your truck rims dont have the TPMS sensors on the rims, it will do you no good..
