Turn Signal Noise

Most of the time the problem isn't that people don't know HOW to drive, it's that they choose to drive the way they do. Most of the idiots on the road could pass a test if they HAD to, then they would simply revert back to their "own way" of driving. We are all guilty of it to a point, some people just take it way too far and become complete idiots.

I would agree with that. In conjunction with the testing there should also be stricter enforcement. Half the problem now is that it's allowed.

It's kind of like when someone knows NOT to have a chrome bug shield but chooses to anyway, right?

Damn, I can't believe all this talk about old people. I am only 29 with 35 years experience :D

Don

I am only 32 but I think I should have to abide by the same rules I'm suggesting. When I am a danger, I shouldn't be driving either.

My truck doesn't make that annoying sound, it makes a very quiet click sond that you can hardly hear however when doing PDI's on our trucks at work I do find that sound you are referring too very annoying.

Its a long story. I am 11 years older than my wife. She had never been able to have children. We had been married 10 years and one day out of the blue she anounced guess what, I think I'm pregnant. Its the only child she will ever be able to have and its kept me young, so it has been a blessing.

The other night i was pulling up to a stop sign with the blinker on when the seatbelt reminder started reminding me to buckle up. While it was gonging, the signal clicking went silent. I just thought there would be a way to disable it sense it comes from the speakers and dosnt actually click.

If you install an after market head unit, I believe you will automatically lose the turn signals noises and chimes. Unfortunately, you'll also lose OnStar, I believe. There has to be a way, it's just likely not to be simple. Tell your dealer that you have epilepsy and the repetitive ticking triggers seizures and that you need them disabled. :D It's worth a shot.

That could be a problem as talking to people at dealerships causes me to go into convulsions. When did salespeople stop needing to know anything about the products they sale? My salesguy actually told me that when onstar sends down the signal to unlock my doors, i would need to make sure i stand clear so i dont get shocked. true story. But in his defence, he's only the internet sales manager/fleet sales manager.
