Power Wire Thru Firewall In Nbs Silverado

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have a std cab 2007 Silverado NBS. I want to run a power wire from the cab to the battery I can't really see a good place to go thru the firewall, I see there is a large cone shaped grommet on the drivers side but I don't see a good way to get to it from the cab. I need 20 AMP so I can't use one of the power outlets in the truck.

Thanks

your clear to drill to right of it from inside, left on the outside. Just see where the rubber conduit with the oem wires are. Drill the app size hole, buy a aftermarket grommet to snap in, run your wire thru. You have to remove junction box on the inside to drill/run the wire thru.

do you have the HD trailering option cause if you do tyhere is already a wire there. connect to the stud on your fuse panel and fish the other end out from under the dash.

I drilled through to the left of the brake pedal where the clutch pedal would be it it were a manual.
