Transmissions aren't exactly my field....

 

Anyone got a list of advantages and disadvantages of using B&M shift plus(electronically recalibrates the vacuum and shift settings) versus a Transgo kit that replaces parts to get quicker and firmer shifts?

 

Do they complement each other, or do similar things?

 

 

I know the transgo kits will replace the mechanical parts, and probably beef it up a bit for hard work, but in the end it's a vacuum controlled trans....

4l60E is not vacuum controlled

^^ Si, E for electronic, it's electronically controlled. You could probably get the shifting performance your looking for with tuning.

I thought it was electronic, well I knew it was, but I read some lit about the B&M tuner for my 94 vette and it said the 4L60E was vacuum controlled. typo I guess. later on would I see greater improvment with mechanical upgrades?
