New Gmc

I just got a new to me 96 k1500 5.7 pushing 215k miles. My main goal is to first add headers but any suggestions as to which route to go would be cool. long tube/short tube? Searched youtube to get some ideas and came up with this "

Headers and that definatly sounded pretty wicked so any other advice would be great also.
