I havea 2007 Silverado. i am looking at removing my stock muffler and just putting a turn down pipe. i was wondering if any body has done this or know of some that has. I was wondering if it would effect any performace or mileage.

Surely you don't mean without a muffler? It would sound like raggedy hell and add to your ticket collection if so. (Not sure if that would be before or after you went deaf) :uhoh:

You could go with a magnaflow or flowmaster and a turn down pipe.

You will kill both because you wont have enough back pressure. If you insist on runing straight pipes just cut out ur muffler and put a pipe in its placeand keep the full tail pipe, plus it will give it something to resonate against and sound better imho. But straights are illegal in MOST states weather yours is one or not i dont know. To get by that you could go get a glass pack and a turndown or do as i said before and instead of the pipe put in a glass pack. Its the closest thing you can get to streights. just rember if you have a state inspection ur exhaust must exit past the cab.

14" si/do body Magnaflow, and have the shop bend pipes and add tips.

If you dont want the dual outlet, si/so magnaflow mated to the stock tailpipe.

Youtube " 14" magnaflow Silverados " to hear what it would sound like.
