Exhaust Help

I'm thinking about putting a full exhaust system on my truck here pretty soon, but I'm not very keen on exhaust systems. Before I had a dual chambered flowmaster dumped at the axle on my old truck which had a good rumble but it was a bit redneckish for me. I want something that is going to have a sweet rumble but sound more performance-like. I'm thinking of going heads and all and possibly even true dual. I've heard that going true dual can mess up the backpressure on the 5.3 motors though. Any advice or suggestions you guys would have for brand, systems, etc would be appreciated. Also I would prefer not to dump it again...the cab noise can be a bit annoying. I just want something straight out the back with chrome tips. Thanks.

couple of suggestions....if you are running straight dual pipes, dont go larger than 2.5" (pipe diameter) and make sure to get an X pipe....as for what brand....I prefer magnaflow, other opinions will vary

Magnaflow single side exit exhaust...

 

I just installed mine 3 weeks ago. I love it, the sound is awesome.

Didn't seem to lose any low-end power.
