In May 2007 longtime Ford tuning house Roush Performance Products broke twelve years of tradition by announcing it would expand its armory of high performance components to include options for General Motors cars and trucks. Today, spies caught the first ever glimpse at the Roush Chevrolet Silverado.

This this ROUSHcharged Chevrolet Silverado features both performance and appearance upgrades. ROUSH charger labels on the sides of the hood’s power dome are almost certainly confirmation it has the long-awaited Roush blower mounted on the engine. Sources indicate power will come from a 6.0-liter Vortec MAX V8 that’s factory rated at 367 horsepower and 375 pound-feet but will hit 500 hp and 500 pound-feet with the Roush unit.

The truck also has at least one other significant hardware change - dual exhausts out the back.

More details are expected in the near future.

Not much difference in the looks department. Different lower bumper plastic, painted grille and tailgate handle... Oh, and some tupperware on the hood. Let's hope the performance numbers are more interesting.

I just wish some one would make a RCSB perf. truck.

I agree. I get tired of "supposed" performance Excabs and Crewcabs...

These have been out for a while.

As you'll see, that bumper is an accessory anyone can get from Chevrolet already.

Yeah, I spelled Roush wrong when doing the search to see if there were any threads about this. My bad - sorry!

Not a big deal at all. I was just pointing out that there was information out there about these already. :dunno:

I'd Rather have the 427 Concept Slverado personally. Theres nothing specaial about the Roush Silverado except for the supercharger and some ugly plastic...in my opinion. Here is a well-put-together concept.

Are the rear fenders flattened out, or is it just a figment of my imagination? Just something else that doesn't look right.

I don't believe they are, it's just the lighting.

A little off topic but does anyone know the Pn# for the bumper I hit a small coyote and messed up my front bumper. I have an 07 silverado wt package if that makes any difference. Thanks for the input

Plus the 427 sounds mean on the youtube clip but since it is in a parking garage I would love to hear that on the open road. Still a good looking truck I might say, love the color.
