Winter Wheel Idea - Yes Or No?

I was looking for a set of rims and tires for my brother-in-law for his Yukon XL that is black with chrome trim and bumpers. But I found a set of Chrome Escalade rims with almost new 265/70/17 Toyo open country at's on them for just over $400 shipped to me. One hell of a deal!!! But I was think of keeping them and running them during the winter monthes and run my current set up during the summer.

What do you think I should do? Plus I am thinking of turning the tires around so the white letters are out.

This is a quick paint program hack job.

I did buy them already and they are on there way, I hope!!! My stockers already are corroding from last winter and GM is replacing them so I was planning on saving them them and run the chrome ones since they have smaller tires for winter.

Seems like it would be a pretty inexpensive and decent looking way to go. I'd do it.

My vote: Keep em. Long time until winter yet. I'm sure you will come across something else for your brother. And if you do happen to find something better, you can keep the better wheels and give the caddy ones to him.
