Where Is The Best Place To Get Ribs In Tx

I'm sitting here in Austin TX travelling for work and got a craving BBQ. So I headed down the 2222 to the County Line on the Lake for some ribs. Got to thinking sitting there by myself (I travel alone) that there has to be good BBQ other places in the area. The only other place I have tried was Rudy's.<br /><br />So, what else is around here?

You have to try Stubb's downtown (great live music venue as well), and Salt Lick's, which is a bit of a drive but their bbq is legendary.

 

Another favorite but much to far away from where you are is Cowpokes in Pearsall TX.

Hookers and transients are best as they have less family and it will take much longer for someone to miss them. You can be out of town long before anyone wises up.

 

 

 

Stubb's is good too though.

Have had the Salt Lick in the airport; I guessing the actual restraunt is better.

I like Hard 8 BBQ, but that is in Stephenville.

Looks like I'll be in SE Texas and/or SW Louisiana this weekend. If anyone knows of any great barbeque (or cajun food, for that matter) within 100-150 miles of Jasper, Texas, let me know.. I'll have most of the day Sunday to roam around, before heading back to Cowtown. So, a bit of a drive shouldn't be a big deal. Thanks! Oh yeah! NOT in Houston! I avoid that place like the plague.. (or like Jeff running from color-matched-anything for his truck! )
