How Much For E85 Where You Are?

I have yet to see E85 in my area (SW Ohio)....

 

What do they want for a gallon of E85 where you are, and what does Reg Gas cost where you are?

I just went through Albany NY, it was $3.49 a gallon.

In the Pittsburgh area..$3.45 for E85,$3.99 for regular unleaded.

Its high 2.00-Low 3.00 for E85, and 3.90 for 87

I paid $2.96 in Lancaster, PA area

In the Philadelphia Suburbs area it is around $3.65 maybe

Regular gas is between $3.90 to $4.20 depending on what county or town I buy it in.

 

Obviously from the prices I DO NOT buy E85 in the Philadelphia area. 30cents cheaper and worse gas mileage does not make it worth it.

There is a 30-40 cent spread here in town, math does not work to use it.

 

In a town about 40 miles from here there is a 60 cent spread. That should get pretty close to making it worth wile to use it.

 

In Colorado back in Febuary, I saw it was dollar spread there, that was deffinantly worth going with E85 out there.

I paid 3.43 last week. Reg was 3.93. I have 1 station on my side of town. On the other its anywhere from $2.79 and up.

 

2 wks ago I went fishing pulled into town and they had E85 for $2.99. To bad I had my truck and had to fill up with reg for 3.95

Here in the Valpo Indiana area, E85 is at $3.159 a gallon and regular 87 is $4.199 a gallon. With the recent news of crude dropping, I would asume that the cost for E85 around here too will fall.

Interesting..... if we agree that mpg with E85 is about 80% that of gas mpg, looks like the folks in

Allentown, Lancaster and Valpo would benefit from using E85.... but not anyone else.....

 

 

 

 

If I was living in Lancaster, Pa, I'd DEFINATELY be using E85.....
