Chevy Vans

We got 2 new Chevy 3500 vans at work yesterday. I was surpised to see they have 350s in them. I thought GM had stoped putting them in all production units.

I've heard rumors that Gm was going to do some radical changes to the big vans.  But I've also heard of a V8 in the Astro too.  

I'm not sure why Gm still uses the 350's in the big vans.  It would take much to use the 5.3L in the van.  Maybe in 2002?

Here at work we've had 350's in all of our newer vans up to 2001, we haven't gotten any 2002's as of yet.  They've had the 5.7 all the way back to the early 90's, before that I'm not too sure.
