7.8 Duramax?

saw someone mention a 7.8L Dmax in medium duty trucks...ive never heard of this motor.  what are it's specs?

I heard of a 7700 over at putc, but don't remember much about it.

Well Paco, not only is there a Duramax 7800 there is also a Duramax 7200 engine.  Both are inline 6 motors, and are available in numerous horsepower and torque ratings.  It is built and assembled by Isuzu.

 

Duramax 7200 IL6 (175 hp / 400 lb-ft torque to 210 hp / 500 lb-ft torque)

Duramax 7800 IL6 (200 hp / 520 lb to 275 hp / 860 lb-ft torque)
