Montana Bronco Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I currently have a 2" leveling kit on my NBS truck, stock wheels, and 285/70/17 BFG A/T's. They are ok once the leveling kit was installed. (rubbed bad without level). Question: I am thinking of going to an American Racing wheel in 17x8 with a +25 offset. I know zero offset will rub, so will +15, is +25 enough ? Stock is either +29 or +31...

Stock is either +29 or +31... +25 is enough but it will be a wider wheel so the outside of the tires may rub on full lock turns. Others may want to pipe in here. I have 20x9s with +25 offset and all is good with 275-55-20s
alaska511 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I am not totally sure with that size Mine are +32, on an 8.5 with 5.4 BS with a 275/60r20 no rubbing at all I think he may be okay
Lances07Z71 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Mine are American Racing wheels and I have 285/70/17's with no rubbing with the leveling kit.I'm not sure about the offset at the moment though.I think they are +25.

Great ! You have the same tires, so this is exactly the info I need. Per the AR website, your wheels have a +15 offset. You have no rubbing so I should be fine with +25 Thanks !
Lances07Z71 Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 I only rub if I'm turning super sharp in reverse and not that much.
