20" Wheels And Wheel Locks

Did the stock 20" wheels come with wheel locks on an 07 NBS CC? I have wheel locks, but they have outside threads on them. Crazy I was expecting something more like gorilla locks. Has anyone else seen the same thing or am I just Lucky with nice locks and no key? Dealer says he will get it, but I do not think they quite understand what I am saying. They say they can pull it up from the VIN. Just hope we are talking apples to apples.

Thanks,

Is this what your lugs look like?

The outside threads are to hold on the Wheel Caps that have a fake plastic lug nut thru them, which might not apply to your rims.

As easy as the Dealer make it seem to get a key, GM may only use 1 standard wheel lock or only have a few combinations.

I would get the key, so you can take your wheels off but I wouldn't worry about the security of them if theres only 1 or a few keys.

I'm not sure where you live and if people are still stealing rims there, but in SOCAL your truck would get stolen before your Rims do.

My last few trucks had 20" wheels or larger and I never used wheels locks and never had any problems. Just my opinion though, do what makes you feel safe (I dont want to get a reply in a couple of months saying your wheels got stolen, Knock On Wood).

Thanks for the response. That is exactly them. We lost two trucks out of the parking lot in seven days here in Fort Worth at my work. I agree the truck will be gone before the wheels are. They have been sliding blocks under the axles and then removing the valve stems to get the wheels off quick (no jacks needed) in the DFW area. I installed a remote control kill switch inline as well. I hope they walk away after it does not start with column/ignition torn out of it.

Thanks Again. David

That sucks...lojack?? I took mine off that came from GM and put McGard wheel locks (low profile ones onto the truck and have been happy every since)

What part of town are you in? I'm out by the Joint Reserve Base. No real problems out this way other than kids being kids
