Hey all, im new to this site but not to chevys. I am in western PA. I am going to be buying a new truck within the next 6 months and a silverado is my first choice. I want a regular cab z71, ext cab z71, or a reg. cab 2500...prob. an 04-06. I like the new ones, but im not sure if thats in my budget. I want the reg. cab just because i love the way they look esp. when they are lifted but they are a lot harder to find than extended cabs. I plan on lifting whatever i get. I drive a nissan truck right now, but have had many chevys in the past. Looking forward to being a part of this forum.

I havent looked into brand new trucks very much, but anyone know with all the rebates right now what kind of prices you can get on a new reg. cab z71 4x4?

Welcome to the site! I'm very pleased with my 06 gmc cc 1500, you should be able to find a great truck for a great price.

Not sure about all the rebates & employee pricing what you can get, I read somewhere on this forum last week someone bought a brand-new '08 EC for around $23k, or maybe I read that wrong, either way the pricing is still amazing.

Welcome to the forum. There are some great deals going on with current rebates and employee pricing. If you go to the chevy.com or local dealer website, they'll normally list the current rebates and offers for the truck you're looking for. Or just swing by a few dealers and see if the numbers work for ya. Good luck!

WELCOME!!

I have to agree with everyone else, I'd personally try getting prices on a NBS 08. Given the current offer for employee pricing, as well as the incentives ($3000 off for regular cab and $5000 off for extended cab) you might be suprised at how good of a deal you may get....especially if your not looking for a fully loaded truck.

Good luck with you search

Thanks for the welcomes. I went on chevy.com and they are saying for a new 08 reg cab 4x4 with a 5.3 and z71 its going to be around 22 thousand after rebates. That puts it a little out of my range... im trying to stay under 17. I am going to go to some dealerships around here and see if they can do any better than that. I have found some really nice used ones with low miles for well under 17. So i will prob. end up with a 2004-2006. Any known problems with those years, or anything i should look for?
