Goodyear At/d2s

I got my truck a few months ago and it had some bald off brand tires in the back and some Michelin LTX/MS's on the front. I went offroading and did pretty good with the G80 in 2WD in as long as I wasn't trying to go up any muddy hills.

We had some weather coming in and I knew I was going to be out of town and having to drive through it... I live in central MS. I went to Sams and found the cheapest AT that they had. They were Goodyear Wrangler AT/D2s. They looked decent... not real agressive but looked like they would do what I needed to do... especially for $116 a piece in 265/75/16s.

Well I put two in the rear... they are a little noisier then the Michelins, but is to be expected. What surprised me is how well they did off road. I eased on it first through some of the same trails I went in with the old tires. In 4WD I had no problem making it through some pretty soggy trails. I then got adventurous and tried a few runs in 2WD. I was able to make through everything in 2WD that took 4WD before so I was pretty happy.

They were also good in the rain and didn't spin out like the bald ones did of course. I forced a spin and they howled pretty good though.

Not a bad tire for the price. It seems only Sams and other wholesale retailers carry them. If you need something cheap they may be worth trying.
